Matt is the author of The English Major’s Guide to Getting a Job, a resource to help English majors identify, learn, and excel in the skills employers need. His articles have appeared on hundreds of websites, including the Huffington Post, Small Biz Watch, Forbes, and others.
Matt has presented marketing, strategy, social media, and writing training for such groups as Santa Clara University, Salt Lake Film Society, and numerous other organizations of all sizes.
Prior to becoming an independent content strategist and copywriter, Matt taught two years of university English for Utah State University. He also worked in supply chain management and as the in-house content strategist for several companies. Matt holds a B.A. in Professional Writing from Brigham Young University – Idaho, a M.S. in American Studies from Utah State University, and is currently working towards an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University. His areas of research focus on how to get virtual communities to take action in the real world.
